Huge menu, generally good/friendly service, and good-lookin dessert case. Food is nothing special... it's been hit or miss for me here, but ultimately not a place I ever crave. The price you pay is way too high for the quality of the food. I generally try to avoid it.

So what do I do when I get off work at 8 pm, decide to take a nap and then eat dinner? My options are seriously limited - good thing Double T Diner is open 24 hours! They have a very extensive menu ranging from breakfast items, sandwiches, and dinner entrees. Their omelets are large and use fresh ingredients. I also tried their spanakopita the other day and the portion was once again huge. The crust was flaky and the insides were tasty. Service is okay to good depending on the person. They aren't hovering but still give you attention once in a while. If you go after 11pm, they automatically tack on an 18% service charge.

This place served its purpose....getting some SCRAPPLE for my mom on our journey back East. Well that was an experience. LOL That said, the diner was just ok.

Open 24 hours, service is friendly, food is good and the portions are huge. They serve everythingggg and breakfast is served all day long, too. I am always too full by the time I leave, but their desserts look delicious! The only con is the other customers in the restaurant if you go late. Sometimes they are a little sketchy.

Random drive by after landing to bwi late. Only thing open i can find in maryland driving up to Pennsylvania. The service was slow, and the food uninspiring. I ordered the romanian steak which seems to be a flat iron steak. The meal however was very filling and came with lots of sides,( soup, salad) The desserts looked good but i didn't try it.

We stopped by around 9pm. Got seated quickly but were pretty much abandoned after that. We both ordered the soup of the day... and then waited about 15 minutes for it to be served, and when it was, it was lukewarm. And for Italian wedding soup it tasted like they took yesterday's mixed veggies from a can and threw it in with some soup stock and a few mini meatballs. Not very appetizing or tasty. Not much else of our meal was much better. So this is pretty much just food if last resort.

I was seated and presented a menu promptly, then everything went south. The menu laminate was peeling so bad you could barely read the menu. After waiting 15 minutes to even get a drink order, which never came, I got up and left. The host at the door just looked at me and didn't make a single effort to get service for me. I would give this a zero star if I could since food AND service apparently doesn't exist at this diner.

This is a good place to go for late-night eating. It is open 24 hours. The prices are good and the portions are large. Service is fast, especially at the bar. The staff is friendly. They are happy to give substitutions.

We had dinner there tonight en route back to NYC from D.C. The White Marsh location is part of an eight-diner (MD) chain and it's open 24 hours/day, with a *huge* menu. It's a large place, with lots of booth seating. The portions were really generous and you get tremendous value for your money. I had the calamari with linguini entrée and my husband had the shrimp creole entrée, both of which came with a cup of soup (we chose the crab chowder) and a salad. The salad was the usual generic type (although somewhat larger than is typical), but the soup and entrées were really tasty. We were also given some warm bread, and our server gave us more when she saw we'd finished it. She was very pleasant and attentive. I couldn't even finish my entrée and I took most of the linguini with me. We wanted to get some bread pudding to go, but unfortunately they were out of it. They do all baking on the premises and their dessert case had a *lot* of really tempting-looking items. The cashier was also very pleasant. (Update on 9/6/11): We ate dinner there last night and it was another positive experience. I had the seafood newburg, which was really good; the scallops were luscious and the sauce was great. I chose the creamed spinach soup and it was very good. I think our server was the same one from a year ago - but regardless, she was very pleasant and attentive. The cashier was also very pleasant - and I could swear that their dessert case had even more tempting-looking items than the last time. This time they did have bread pudding and I took an order with me. It was *delicious*! (Update on 12/12/11): We ate dinner there last night and we again enjoyed it thoroughly. We each got a dinner special - the rainbow trout florentine - which was stuffed with spinach and feta cheese. It was a very good-sized portion - and it came with a cup of soup (our second time ordering the crab chowder and it was outstanding), a salad (the honey mustard dressing was particularly good), a choice of potato, a vegetable (we chose the cole slaw, which was really tasty) and warm bread. There was also a choice of coffee or tea, and the coffee was the only negative; it was so bad that I barely drank any of it. All of that for only $19.95/each plus tax and tip (the service was very pleasant, as usual). The diner had lots of nice holiday decorations and the exterior is really attractive. (Update on 5/25/14): We had lunch there yesterday after a long absence and everything was still quite positive, including delicious food (we each ordered the broiled crab cake sandwich - and they came with a cup of soup [we chose the shrimp bisque], cole slaw, a pickle, fries and a choice of certain beverages [I chose the coffee, which had improved significantly since our last visit]). We paid extra for sweet potato fries (I think it was $1.80/each, but the servings were generous). Our server was a *super-nice* young guy and so was the cashier. Also, everything in the dessert case looked like a work of art; VERY tempting....

Service is fantastic. Though the diner was somewhat crowded, we got a seat right a way. The food was great and the portions were more than enough. Everything on the menu was priced very reasonably. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. A great place to go with the family for a good meal. Very clean diner.

For a diner, the Silver Moon Diner establishment (continue reading for Double T) serves up excellent jumbo lumb crab cakes and some unexpectedly delicious french fries. A friend and I visited for dinner and ordered the above along with a crab salad (both the salad and crab entree came with a soup and side) and baklava for dessert. The soups available were manhattan clam chowder, maryland blue crabs, and corn chowder. The bill came out to about $40. We loved nearly every part of dinner, including the service, and our palettes were more than satisfied. (One hiccup was that some of the leaves in the salad were dead and rotting. We were so in love and preoccupied with the rest of our dinner that we didn't even bother complaining, but I'm sure they would have given us a new salad if we asked for it). Because of our pleasant surprise with silver moon, we decided to drive 5 min further down Pulaski Hwy (Rt 40) to Double T Diner and try their fare. Unfortunately, that was a huge mistake. As NYC visitors to Baltimore, of course we ordered the jumbo lumb craP cake which came with a choice of potatoes and soup. The cake tasked like crab meat mushed with bisquik batter and quickly broiled. There was no texture except the mushy batter inside the cake and little taste. Also while $3 more than the silver moon price tag, these were significantly smaller in portion size. We got french fries to compare with Silver Moon; they were slighty soggy and resembled defrosted fries that were stuck into the oven. We also got broccoli which arrived overcooked and mushy. The soups offered were lentil, corn, and chicken nodle; nowhere near the same quality of offerings from Silver Moon. We got the lentil which tasted like lentils with sugar and ketchup. My friend also ordered a breakfast combo which is served 24/7. His sausages were terribly oily, homefries were simply mashed up potatoes that were fried (no onions or peppers or seasoning). They tasted like of the same poor quality as the french fries. Finally, the bread basket came with a used butter cup thrown inside and the soda cup came cracked and leaking. The waiter was also a little awkward and unkind. Our bill was still $40, but we didn't get dessert here; so slightly more expensive and a lot less appetizing. Needless to say, we will never return and will stick to Silver Moon from now on.

The food was cheap and it was good. Our waitress on the other hand. I think her name was Vanessa. Older lady with short hair. Ask her questions about allergies, she looks at you like you have 4 heads. I was disgusted with my service. She drops the food down and just walks away as I was about to ask for hot sauce. Finally got the hot sauce after my food was done. I left no tip for her. She didn't deserve it.

Stopped for lunch when driving along I 95. Diners beat the hell out of fast food, as far as I'm concerned. I would consider this a fairly average Greek diner. The menu is big, the portions are big and the prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly. The food is average in terms of taste and quality. Cream of spinach soup was tasty but lumpy. A french dip sandwich had bland watery "au jus". A gyro was generous, but I doubt that the meat was spit-roasted fresh. The fries were just average. The coffee was good. I would certainly eat here again, if the occasion arises, but I wouldn't rave about it. This would be below-average if it were in NJ.

Have breakfast with my ladies. Well done. Good service. Good food and plenty of food

Absolute best customer service of any diner in the area. My husband and I are total foodies and a good diner is a key item! We have been to several diners in the baltimore area and have been quite disappointed. Double T, the service and the amazing breakfast is a great find for us! We will definitely become regulars!!
(5)Henrik D.
Even though this diner is low on the number outlets available and they have no wifi available, the servers are friendly and have a big menu with the common diner food you come to expect. They are open late. They have booths, a bar and tables. This is a local social hangout as well.

Open 24 hours - except on certain days when maintenance or heavy cleaning is need. This is one of my favorite places in Middle River. The menu is endless, but you really won't find anything "unsatisfactory". Despite the place being pretty busy, the time it takes for the food to come out is never unreasonable. The service is hit or miss. From a strictly "taste of food" standpoint I have never been disappointed. I have tried much of the menu but prefer to stick with either steak or pasta. The eggplant chicken parmigiana is to die for! Seriously, I love this dish! The proportions of this Greek - American -International style diner will never leave you hungry. Ever. They also offer a pretty elaborate drink menu and a wide variety of fresh desserts, usually in the form of pies and cakes. I don't know if they serve Ice Cream... It gets pretty busy on the weekends but I have never had to wait "long" to be seated. Definitely give this place a try!

We stopped here on our way to DC from Philly. We were a bit disappointed. While it is true that the portions were huge the quality of food and service lacked. I had the Greek chicken with rice and vegetables and my boyfriend ordered the gyro club sandwich. My chicken was super greasy and the rice and cole slaw that came with it weren't much better in terms of flavor. I was supposed to get "greek salad" with my meal but when I asked for it I was brought out something that resembled another coleslaw without any cream in it. We also asked for bread and never received that. My boyfriend's gyro club was actually pretty good. It was huge and tasty but his fries kind of sucked. The prices were a bit expensive for diner food. I think our entire bill was close to 40 bucks, the food definitely wasn't worth it. We passed on dessert and kept on our way. I'd suggest stopping somewhere else if you're on the road looking for a bit to eat.

I grew up about five minutes from this Double T so we were always stopping in for quick bites. There is a HUGE menu and like any place they have several amazing dishes that they are known for. My favorites are the chicken salad melt, chicken & rice teriyaki, and the pancakes. Also the chicken noodle or chicken rice soup is the BEST EVER! Sure I have had a couple dishes that Im not head over heels for but thats anywhere you go. My family always feels welcome at double t and the place is almost always packed!
(4)Brian H.
The menu is a little overwhelming: so much to choose from! Breakfast foods for dinner or vice versa! The food is consistently good; don't miss the soups--especially when they have their spectacular creamed seafood varieties. Beyond the usual diner fare, they have a nice selection of Greek menu items and alcoholic beverages. Amazing pastries and cakes. It can get crowded in the evenings and Sunday mornings but we've always been seated within a few minutes of arriving.

Terrible!!! Way too expensive for diner food. I'd be willing to overlook the price if the food was decent, but it's gross.

I love a diner! This one was A-Okay in my book! I could not believe how thick the menu was! No one at my table had ane easy time making up their mind. In the end all was good. No one went away disappointed or hunrgry. We went on Black Friday and still got great food quick.

Always great food!!!!! Sevice was amazing!!!!! I avoid the "chain" restaurants whenever possible!

I was on my way home from a long all-day meeting in Gaithersburg, MD. My colleague and I decided to stop for dinner and chose to get off I-95 and look around rather than go for the slop at the Maryland House or the Chesapeake House. We happened upon the Double T Diner, right off the White March exit. Being from NJ, we are diner-savvy and hoped this one would be similar to what we were accustomed to. The Double T did not disappoint. Every type of food imaginable was on the menu; I don't know how these places do it. I was not very hungry so I opted for soup and salad. All the salads came with complimentary soup, so I hit the jackpot - soup of the day was split pea, one of my favorites, and Cesar salad, all for $6.95. The salad was so large my jaw was tired from chewing before I could finish it. I have always been a fan of diners, mostly reliable, reasonably priced. I am a frequent traveler to the Beltway area and have often just driven home hungry rather than eat one of those pre-wrapped Roy Rogers sandwiches under the heat lamps at the rest stops, and for fear of getting off I-95 and not finding anything. The Double T in White Marsh is in just the right spot, just at the point where I need a break from driving. I'll be back, I'm sure.

The food was excellent! I had the ham steak, the portions are huge. I couldn't finish it all. Our server was really nice. The desserts looked so good but I was too full.

Came here on Easter Sunday around 10pm, during my business trip. It was just about the only place that was still open. I had a cheeseburger and fries (what an Easter dinner! Thanks boss!). Pretty hard to screw that up. It was very good. The waiter was friendly and kept my Diet Coke full the whole time. Not sure about the clientele around here that late at night, but I didn't have any problems. There is a full bar if you are interested. The place is open 24 hours, which is a huge plus. I'd go here again if I wanted a late night meal (if I was in the area ever again). But I think there are probably much better choices during the day.

On a road trip through the Baltimore area, we stopped for lunch at the Double T Diner. The first thing you notice inside the door was a case of beautiful, mouth-watering desserts. (More on those later) If you're in the area, this diner is definitely worth the stop. Don't be intimidated by the large menu, the friendly servers are happy to assist, and the food is way more creative than your typical diner fare. The menu was extensive, but we settled on 3 dishes starting Maryland crab: Macaroni and Cheese with Crab Balls, Fried Soft Crab sandwich, and The Chesapeake Benedict (eggs Benedict with crab cakes.) The food was all very good, especially the crab soup and crab balls. The hollandaise on the Chesapeake Benedict was just ok, but the crab cakes were excellent. The real star of the meal, though, was dessert! After much deliberation we ordered Blueberry cheesecake, Canoli Cake, and a "chocolate triangle." The cheese cake was light but rich and creamy. The cannoli cake was moist with a creamy cheesecake-like filling, and the chocolate triangle was a nice balance of light and rich elements. All three came in huge portions with the type of presentation you would expect from a much pricier restaurant, and best of all they were all less than $5 a piece.

Been here a few times and had a 4 star review started but had such a poor experience, I felt compelled to drop it down and finish, especially since the phone app now let's you finish a review. Standard diner, large menu, usually decent but today was flat out bad. Service was rushed. The dude, who is always here, focuses on witty comments and not what you order. He is writing something down, but I don't think it's the order. The coffee was terrible. Rule #1 of diner business, have good coffee. 4 of the 5 orders came out. Forgot my bosses. Thanks guys. My order was wrong, but at least I had something to eat.

We ended up there on a lark - looking for breakfast early Sunday morning off of 95 in the Baltimore area. What a find! If you like a classic diner experience, do it! We walked in and there was a showcase of delicious looking pastries and throughout our visit experienced nothing but professional service. The place was packed while the wait staff moved gracefully around like a choreographed dance. I commented on how well run it seemed to be. When presented with the menu , we were floored. It weighed several pounds; so many pages!! Very complete. I ordered a western omelet sandwich on ciabatta bread. It was twice the size I expected, so delicious, and reasonably priced!!! My husband loved the breakfast sausage he ordered, though I wouldn't have. Overall, glad we didn't end up stopping at a chain restaurant!
(5)Becky F.
They serve huge portions, but it isn't very good and no one cares whether you like your food or not.
(2)Sarah B.
Do you want pancakes, soup, burgers, gyros, eggs, steak, waffles and cake all available to you, all the time? Well, look no further. This is where you go in the Baltimore area and everyone knows it. Now, with a menu this extensive (and I tell you it's 5 pages of tiny print and EVERYTHING comes with soup!!) you have to understand that not all of it is coming in fresh, a good bit of it is likely frozen. I usually gravitate towards breakfast or the chef salad which is large enough for 2 meals. Home made dressings, and decent thick sliced deli meats. My husband most often gets the baked mac and crab balls. He always enjoys that thoroughly as well. Prices are decent for what you're getting and service is always quick, even if you don't often see the same face twice. The dessert case is filled with beautiful cakes and pastries all courtesy of the other family business Yia-Yia's bakery. (Which I give a million stars to).
(4)Nicole B.
Went here with a girl friend of mine that I was visiting in Maryland and she took me here. Good was great! Service was great! The only complaints I have was the ginormous bowl on the table with a ridiculous amount of jelly packets and some waitress that kept walking by with enough perfume (Alien to be exact) for 6 people to wear that made both my friend and I not want to eat our food.
(5)Virginia B.
Worse than mediocre. Brown lettuce in the salad and soggy fish and chips. I understand it's a diner but it should of been better. No effort and no pride in the food.
(2)Lance B.
Always Gr8 food . Extra room for groups. If you have room for dessert , check the pastries out front . Wait staff . Lots of parking . Not far from I-95
(4)Stan T.
This is my first review, but so far it's above average. After finding my work location and getting lost (one reason I came a day early!) I stopped in here on the way back. I ordered the Western omelette with turkey bacon and they were happy to oblige. That and a cup of tea makes a great breakfast combination. It's definitely going to be a weekly splurge for me. :)
(5)Barbara M.
BEWARE!!! This location is very Unsanitary!! I took my sons GF there for Breakfast last weekend..this was her first time there..I went to cut into my potatoes and a very long piece of black hair wsd literally wrapped around the potatoes and onions...it was sickening... The waitress called the mgr over..she just shrugged and laughed.."Do u want more food she asked.. Initially I didn't..but was talked into giving them another chance..you would think the mgr would ensure the food would come out without a hitch...SMMFH!!! Another hair... This time it was pubic like...not sure what they do in that kitchen..but I will never know...I'm NEVER RETURNING THERE AGAIN!!!!
(1)David T.
Wide range of food from cereal omelettes soups sandwiches entrees to desert cookies . they have it all here. If you don't find something in the menu that then you are not hungry. You can't forget the desert case. Which has plenty of yummy things to try. Make sure you try some of the Greek dishes. Plus great friendly staff
